fat loss dietWhat a fantastic day it was yesterday. I hope yours was the same. I ended up running the Peachtree Road Race without any rain (woot-woot) followed by pancakes and a sugar coma :)

Now if you’re like me and you’re back on track today (which you should be… don’t make it a 4-day cheat for crying out loud), you’ll enjoy this one piece of advice for you.

Earlier this week, I did an interview with one of my fitness friends about Finishers and other things.

At the end of the interview, he asked me the curveball question, “If you could only give ONE piece of advice to someone who is looking to reach a fitness goal, what would that be?”

That’s when I explained a very powerful approach I have used with my private clients that have helped them reach amazing goals… like Chris, who lost 70 pounds in 6 months…

… or Amber, who won $1,000 in a Transformation Contest and lost 12 pounds of fat in 12 weeks…

or Philip – who dropped a whopping 34 pounds in 12 weeks and also won the Transformation Contest.

Hopefully, you see how powerful this one habit can be.

Here it goes… and this perfect because after yesterday’s cookout, You can start this TODAY…

Write down ALL of the habits that you KNOW are holding you back and keeping you from reaching your goals.

Perhaps it’s having 2 sodas a day… or it’s eating ice cream every night.

Write down all of them… whether it’s 5 habits or 20. The secret is to NOT hold back. Also, don’t be ashamed or feel guilty. It’s part of the process.

Now that you have all the bad habits written down, go through and sort them by the most difficult to break to the easiest.

For example, let’s say you know you don’t drink enough water. That’s a pretty simple fix. That would probably be your easiest habit, right? So that will be the first habit.

Take your time and really think about what would be the easiest habit to fix to the hardest.

Now that you have them sorted, this is your assignment…

For the next 7 days, focus on the EASIEST habit and fix it. That’s it... keep doing all the other habits as is and just focus on that one habit for the next 7 days.

Let’s take the water intake for example. Let’s say for the next week, you’ll drink 2 more glasses of water every day.

That’s it… that’s all you have to do.

And when the week is over, you would have conquered that one habit holding you back.

Next week, “roll” that habit into the next week, along with a NEW habit to fix.

After just 10 weeks, you will fix 10 habits that are holding you back. Imagine the power behind that. 10 habits?…
